Meet the Photographer

Jeff Varner has been immersed in the world of photography for over 20 years. His true passion lies with landscapes and animals, because being in nature is his favorite way to escape. Sunrise is his favorite time to shoot, because dawn means a fresh start to a new day. Witnessing a sunrise is the best way to start the day- and photographing it means he can share its beauty with the world.

Varner grew up in the farm country, outdoors constantly to work on his grandpa’s farm. This setting taught Varner to appreciate the little parts of nature, giving him the perfect perspective for nature-based photography.

Varner’s family jokes that if his camera and one of his children fell overboard, he would save the camera, to which he always replies that he would save both. Jeff is a devoted father and husband, and he loves to share his passion of photography with his family.

Varner uses a Canon MarkIV, assorted Canon lenses, and many tripods, flashes, and remote triggers to capture his photos. He only uses four lenses, and they’re all he needs to get each shot.
